Join me in my efforts to support Spina Bifida Association - Arizona!
I was born with Spina Bifida and hydrocephalus. I was diagnosed only 16 weeks into the pregnancy. At that time my parents were told that I would never walk, that I would be mentally delayed, and that they had a 35% chance of losing me during my first 5 years of life. The medical advice was to terminate the pregnancy and try again. I am sure glad that they didn’t listen! It was a rough road getting me here, but they say they wouldn’t change it for the world! Just being 5 years old my parents tell me that I don’t really understand how many lives I have touched and many people I have inspired, and until I do I am their Angel Unaware.
We understand many of the daily challenges that individuals with Spina Bifida face, which is why we are so excited to be helping the SBAAZ take steps today for a brighter tomorrow for those living with the challenges caused by this birth defect. You can help us make a difference by joining our team and walking with us, or by donating funds to help us reach our goal. We would love to have you join us – either in person by joining and walking with our team or in spirit through your donation – in helping this wonderful cause.
