Join me in my efforts to support Spina Bifida Association - Arizona!
Our daughter, Jacy, has Spina Bifida and hydrocephalus. Her condition was diagnosed only 16 weeks into the pregnancy. At that time we were told that our daughter would never walk, that she would be mentally delayed, and that we had a 35% chance of losing her during her first 5 years of life. The medical advice was to terminate the pregnancy and try again. As you know, we went against that recommendation. It was a rough road getting her here, but we wouldn’t change it for the world! Jacy is a beautiful, smart, caring, strong, and active little girl. She has amazed her family, her friends, and her Dr.’s with her accomplishments and has inspired and touched the lives of many. At the innocent age of 5 years old she does not understand the impact she has had on so many of us, so for now, she is Our Angel Unaware.
